The automatic transfer switch is the mind
of unit and it monitors the utility power for
an interruption. If your utility power fails,
the transfer switch automatically starts the power
system, transfers the electrical loads and restores

When utility power resumes, the
transfer switch reverses the process and turns off the generator... again,
